AdhanLive: Live Adhan Visualization
Watch the Islamic Call to Prayer Sweep Across Earth in Real Time
AdhanLive is a live, interactive 3D globe showing the Adhan, the Islamic call to prayer, as it travels continuously around the Earth. Every second of every day, mosques somewhere on Earth are calling the faithful to prayer.
The site tracks 280,620 mosques from OpenStreetMap across every Muslim-majority country, including Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and more. Each mosque is shown as a colored dot: blue for Fajr, gold for Dhuhr, orange for Asr, red for Maghrib, and purple for Isha.
The five daily Islamic prayers, Fajr (dawn), Dhuhr (midday), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (sunset), and Isha (night), follow the sun around the globe, creating a continuous wave of prayer that never stops. AdhanLive makes this phenomenon visible for the first time.
Prayer times are calculated using the Umm al-Qura method for Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries, and appropriate regional methods for other countries worldwide. The globe rotates in real time, with live statistics showing how many mosques are currently calling the Adhan.
AdhanLive is free, works on all devices including iPhone and Android, and requires no app download. Visit adhanlive.com to watch the Adhan live.
